Tuesday,
April 11, 2006 – Miami/Lima/Cusco
An early morning flight from Miami leaves just after Monday at
midnight (1:20am) and arrives in Lima at 5:50am. After customs
and maybe a bite to eat we fly to Cusco at 9:45am and arrive at
11:00am.
Cusco
is the center of the Incan nation and the Earth as they knew it.
It is situated 11,000 feet above sea level in the Andes Mountains
(1000 feet higher than Machu Picchu). After check-in at a lovely
colonial-style hotel, we will drink coca tea and rest in order
to acclimate to the high elevation and the elevate energy levels,
which are the sacred heritage of this city. We will meet for the
Opening of Journey and Connection with Ancestral Heritage before
dinner. At this time we will get to know each other, listen to
each others’ intentions for this trip and pray for protection
and guidance for the journey and for the group.

Wednesday,
April 12, 2006 - Cusco
Cusco is an true memorial to ancient American civilizations. Each
Incan temple surrounding the city honors a specific energy vortex
in an ancient energy-Internet crisscrossing through the region.
The first Temple marker we visit is Saksayhuaman honoring Father
Sun (Inti). Here we will Celebrate the Spiritual Powers of the
Ancient Incan Nation and visit this site of important sacred Incan
ritual. After a few hours, living, sensing, feeling and expressing
in this inspiring locale, we lunch and continue our discovering
by visiting Tambo-Machay (Altar to the Sacred Waters) Here a Prayer
for the Healing of Planetary Waters and Healing of our Emotions
will be offered. Before returning to our hotel in the late afternoon
for a free evening in Cusco, we will make one more stop at Qorikancha
(“golden enclosure”, once the home of the Sun Disc
of the Incan nation).

Thursday,
April 13, 2006 - Pisac/Ollantaytambo
After a delicious Peruvian breakfast, we bus to Pisac, the southern
entrance to the sacred valley of Urubamba. Pisac is a picturesque
Andean Village with an impressive heritage of Incan ruins. Its
panorama of terraces, water ducts and steps carved out of solid
rock are the backdrop for one of the Andes’ most traditional
markets where handmade images, musical instruments, fabrics, ceramics
and woodwork are more than reasonably priced: the Grande Pisac
Market.
As
our journey is meant to include opportunities for mingling and
interacting with the local Peruvian population, we will stay in
the market, snack on local fare and see about lunch. The more
adventurous may want to climb and wander in the ruins above the
city, but please remember to check back at our pre-determined
time of departure to continue on to Ollantaytambo (Storehouse
of the Lord), for dinner and a good rest.

Friday,
April 14, 2006 – Ollantaytambo (Opening the Portal of the
Heart) Ollantaytambo
was an administrative, religious, agricultural and military complex
for the Incas and is situated 60 km to the northwest of Cusco
at an altitude of 2792 meters above sea level. We’ll make
an early morning visit to the Ollantaytambo ruins to experience
and feel ourselves enfolded by the absolute acceptance, love and
the protection of these mountains, while exploring this ancient
universe inside and out. There will be an emphasis on the Healing
of Relationships this day and those wishing to participate will
receive a special task for the day. After dinner there will be
a bonfire for a Ritual of the Sacred Fire with singing, drumming
and dancing.
Saturday,
April 15, 2006 - Ollantaytambo
Visiting Moray certainly remind many of going back to the womb
as, on the climb down concentric circles into the center, visitors
often feel a warm nurturing energy in their hearts. Climbing down
together in silence and meditating in a circle will allow these
energies to express; everything is possible. The opening of hearts
will allow Spirit to heal. If song takes flight, don’t be
surprised, just let it happen. This place is about transformation.
Walking
and meditating in the powerful energy of Ollantaytambo, through
its enchanted gardens and beside its magical river are a must.
The afternoon will be spent at the hotel where there is a spa,
swimming pool, restaurant, pub and ranch with horses. Its owners
are dedicated to supporting various local children’s projects
and those who want may be able to book a visit and/or plug into
some of these entities’ activities. This all seems too good
to be true.

Sunday,
April 16, 2006 - Aguas Calientes/Machu Picchu
In the early morning we board the train for Machu Picchu. The
breathtaking visuals of the Urubamba Valley where time has stopped,
prepares us gently for our first glance into the City of Peace.
After Check-In in Aguas Calientes and lunch, we bus up the mountain
to match expectation to reality; dream to Machu Picchu itself
(ancient, spiritual, flabbergasting); a moment we have all sensed
was to be lived in this lifetime. After superficially exploring
its sacred plazas and temples, we take the last bus down to the
village at 5:30pm, have dinner, gather together, share and plan.

Monday, April 17, 2006 - Aguas Calientes/Machu Picchu
Day of Silence (for those who wish to participate)
While sleepy tourists are still waking, we will bus silently back
to Machu Picchu to celebrate Peace and the Healing of Planet Earth.
We will continue to explore the city of Machu Picchu enfolded
by Machu Picchu Mountain and Huayna Picchu Mountain. Those who
want to hike to Huayna Picchu will be accompanied by a Peruvian
guide and, at least, one of the facilitators. Another facilitator
will stay in Machu Picchu city with those called to live and feel
more of this magical place. Everyone can return individually to
Aguas Calientes at any time. Out-of-doors enthusiasts must remember,
however, the last bus is at 5:30pm. We meet at a predetermined
place for a silent dinner at 8:00 pm

Tuesday,
April 18, 2006 - Aguas Calientes/Machu Picchu
This free morning in Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu is for exploring
the area, the local Indian market, revisiting the sacred city
and sharing. In the afternoon, (depending on the weather) we will
either meet indoors or out in nature for the Closing of the Journey
[3-4-hours of cleaning of emotions, healing and gratefulness (with
breaks for meditation , if needed)]. Free evening.

Wednesday,
April 19, 2006 - Cusco
Our train departs for Cusco at 8:30am and arrives about 1:00pm.
After lunch there is free time until our celebration dinner at
8:00pm in a traditional restaurant with typical dances and music
to seal this joyous Andean adventure with love and gratitude.
